Swift Sea King
Our 7x50 Marine Binocular Review

The Swift Sea King has the traditional look of a military-style binocular with its black stepped armor and beefy construction.

Features include individual eye focus, front lens caps secured to the center hinge, and a neck strap with wide nylon webbing.

Swift Sea King

The diopter scale on the Sea King is located on the bottom side of the eyepieces with index and scale marks molded into the plastic.

We noted the diopter scale readings to be significantly inaccurate when we set it according to a user’s eyeglass prescription.

With only 18 millimeters of eye relief we expected and did note some reduction in field of view when the user wore eyeglasses.

Although optical acuity of the Sea King binoculars was good the compass became difficult to see when viewing with eyeglasses.

A significant portion of the strap on the Sea King uses wide nylon webbing and makes for comfortable carrying, though it offers no floatation.

The case was about average offering minimal protection. Front lens caps fit rather tightly and were hard to remove. They are anchored to the center hinge, not our preference.

Ruggedly built with traditional looks and carrying a lifetime warranty, these Sea King marine binoculars were rated only average for performance.
